The company was registered in the 1897/98 Lain's Directory Brooklyn as Manufacturers of high grade Shoes, Slippers and Oxford ties, LXV Heels and Satin Goods a Specialty. Office and salesroom: Broadway and McKibbin Street through 24, 26 and 28 Boerum Street.

In May 1903 Wichert & Gardiner was awarded a Gold medal for lady's shoes at the TransMississippi Exposition. In 1904 the company took part in Universal Exposition in St. Louis.

An advert in The Eugene Daily Guard gave the price for W&G shoes at 3.55/4 dollars.
